CECAN Fellow: Kate McEntaggart

CECAN Fellowship: Regulating our Future, Food Standards Agency (FSA)

Joint Fellowship (Julien Etienne and Kate McEntaggart). Kate McEntaggart is a junior researcher with ICF and is currently pursuing an MSc in Food Policy at City, University of London. She is part of ICF’s food policy team and has contributed to a range of research involving regulation and food systems. Most recently, she has been involved in the delivery of work on comparative regulatory regimes for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), on trust for the Food Standards Agency (FSA), as well as projects for the European Commission (DG SANTE) on the pig meat supply chain and on the impact of date marking on food waste. She has also contributed to recent work for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) on consumer perceptions of risk. Kate has recently participated in training on conducting evaluations and has experience with a range of qualitative research methods.
