Gail Deason

CECAN Centre Manager (University of Surrey)

Gail joined the University of Surrey in 2016 as a Project Officer in the Research & Innovation Services department; overseeing a project funded by the European Union Seventh Framework Programme and supporting the University’s EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account. Her earlier career included working in PMO and Executive Assistant roles for 10 years at a global cruise company. 

In 2017, Gail was appointed as the Centre Manager for CECAN; taking responsibility for the operational management and delivery of a range of sub-projects for the Centre, and ensuring the overall smooth running of the Centre and timely reporting to key stakeholders.

Gail holds a Master’s degree and a PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification, and has extensive skills and experience in reporting, event management, marketing and communications, website design and content management.
